Scientist, Cancer Immunology at Tango Therapeutics

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the discovery and testing of novel cancer immunotherapeutic candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

Designing and conducting experiments aimed at immunomodulation of cellular responses in vitro
Developing cellular assays including cancer and immune cell co-culture based assays and ex vivo analyses involving complex flow based analyses
Leveraging in vivo model systems to assess efficacy and mechanism of action of candidate therapeutics
Conducting functional genomics screens to identify novel targets
Training and working closely with research associates
Analyzing data and presenting results in a group setting
Keeping abreast of new developments in the scientific literature and proposing creative solutions to experimental problems

PhD or MD in Immunology or a related field with 2+ years of postdoctoral experience in an academic or industrial setting
Special consideration will be given to those individuals with experience in cancer immunotherapy
Extensive hands-on experience with: flow cytometry and immunological phenotyping, isolation and manipulation of human blood and blood components, in vitro T cell functional assays, in vivo mouse model systems
Research experience with CRISPR technology will be favorably considered
Detail-oriented, reliable and conscientious, with excellent organizational skills and oral and written communication skills
Capable of contributing independently and able to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, team-oriented environment with colleagues from diverse disciplines
