For more information, please visit Position Overview The successful candidate will be an integral member of a team developing novel therapeutics to transform hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. This challenging opportunity requires in depth knowledge of mouse models of hematologic, oncology, or immune diseases as well as in depth knowledge of human hematopoietic stem cell biology, and hematopoietic disease models. This position will involve translational research in hematopoietic stem cell biology. Primary Responsibilities: Design, plan, and execute in vivo pharmacology studies to evaluate efficacy, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, tolerability and mechanism of action of drug candidates Perform ex vivo assays to help broaden our understanding of how our therapeutic leads can affect normal immune function and autoimmune disease Analyze and present scientific data, engage colleagues in cross-disciplinary scientific discussion, and stay abreast of relevant scientific literature Requirements: BS, BA, or MS degree in a relevant field (pharmacology, immunology, oncology, biology) with 1-5 years of relevant research experience, industry experience is a strong plus Expertise working with murine models of autoimmune, oncology, and/or hematologic disease is required. Humanized mouse experience is a plus Proficient in animal handling, dosing (IV, IP), blood collection, and tissue harvesting Experience with multiple molecular techniques (FC, ELISA, PCR, real-time PCR, western blot, etc.) is highly desirable The position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of multi-disciplinary team Must be a scientifically motivated self-starter, capable of independently conceiving, conducting, and critically analyzing his/her own innovative research with minimal supervision Strong presentation skills, communication and the ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment will also be vital Demonstrated understanding of immunology and blood biology is highly desirable We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package.
