Senior Scientist, Cancer Pharmacology at Revolution Medicines

Revolution Medicines discovers and develops new drugs that translate frontier cancer targets through exceptional drug discovery delivering revolutionary medicines on behalf of cancer patients. As a new member of the RevMed team, you will join other outstanding scientists who are helping lead our efforts in the discovery and development of new medicines for unmet needs in cancer.

Opportunity
As a cancer pharmacologist you will:

Be a critical contributor to the cancer biology organization and multi-disciplinary research project teams

Design, conduct, and manage in vivo and ex vivo experiments in-house or at contract research organizations (CROs), and other collaborating institutions, related to the discovery of novel anti-cancer agents, including but not restricted to:

Novel oncology pathway inhibitors

Immuno-oncology agents

Combination strategies

Preclinical pharmacodynamic studies

Manage and analyze experimental data and present results at internal meetings and scientific conferences.

Develop high-quality protocols and outputs, and maintain detailed documentation of procedures and data to comply with internal standard operating procedures and other quality criteria, where necessary.

The post-holder may be required to manage or supervise other scientific or technical personnel

Required Skills
A Ph.D. in pharmacology or cancer biology with 1-3 years of postdoctoral experience and at least 3 years’ relevant industry experience and a solid background in cancer biology.

Strong track record of research productivity as evidenced by high-quality, impactful publications.

Demonstrated hands-on experience in establishing, executing and interpreting in vivo experiments with oncology-related disease models, such as elucidating basic PKPD and efficacy relationships.

Rigorous, quantitative and detail-oriented experimentalist with proven excellence in experimental design, data analysis methods, data management, and presentation.

Thrives in a collaborative team setting and is driven by a desire to be innovative in a high energy start-up environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize options, anticipate challenges, and execute on goals as a member of an interdisciplinary team is extremely important.

Experience with small molecular pharmacology preferred.
