Position Overview

We are looking for someone highly motivated and passionate about propelling our science forward through supporting company operations. This role provides great opportunity for growth and reports directly to the Lab & Facilities Manager.

Primary Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

Manage and perform the ordering, tracking, and restocking of all lab supplies
Train team members on lab purchasing procedures as necessary
Safe handling of lab equipment including glass washing and autoclaving
Preparing and assembling of biohazard boxes and packages
Assist with monitoring of incubators, fridges/freezers, and other lab equipment
Coordinate the Shipping & Receiving of packages and assist in the development of associated guidelines and procedures
Communicate with vendors to track and place orders as needed
Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as necessary
Assist the Lab & Facilities Manager with general upkeep of facilities and escalated issues
Occasionally work/respond during off hours if needed


Bachelor’s Degree in a Life Sciences field is preferred
1-2+ years’ experience in academic or pharmaceutical laboratory setting
Employee Health & Safety (EH&S) experience with DOT and IATA training a plus
Must be adaptable, flexible, reliable, and an individual of integrity
Strong time management skills and the ability to rapidly shift priorities and anticipate needs while working under minimal supervision
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn are ideal
Must be highly organized, detail oriented, a team player, and not afraid to “get dirty”
Ability to stay calm and perform with grace under pressure
Must be able to communicate effectively while working across all departments
Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but employee will be required to stand for periods of time. Some tasks may require repetitive motion.
Excellent competence with computers and modern communication tools is required; a proven proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
