Neon Therapeutics is focused on unlocking the full potential of the immune system to recognize and attack cancer. We have assembled a team of world experts in cancer immunotherapy to develop therapies that target mutant proteins, known as neoantigens, which are produced by cancer cells. Our programs are designed to leverage multiple facets of immune memory to elicit potent immune attack of tumors, with the aim of providing durable response to patients in need.
Neon is seeking a highly-motivated Senior Research Associate/Associate Scientist with the goal of developing a neoantigen specific T cell product to be used in adoptive T cell therapy. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with biochemists, bioinformatics and the departments of peptide chemistry, molecular biology and immune monitoring to develop and assess efficacy of this approach. This position reports to Scientist I, Immunology – T cell.
Job responsibilities include:
Production of dendritic cells from human PBMC
Culturing of human T cells
Assessment of specificity and functionality of human T cells by multicolor flow cytometry
Analyze multicolor flow cytometry data
Perform scRNA and TCR sequencing as well as data analysis
Track and compile results in an electronic notebook
Assist with the training of lab personnel
Present results to other scientific teams
Experience and Essential Skills:
MS in immunology and/ or relevant experience in cancer immunology
A strong background in adaptive immunity in the context of cancer is preferred
3+ years of relevant research experience
Demonstrated experience of flow cytometry and other immune related assays
Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative environment to meet project goals
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Enjoys solving challenging scientific questions in a fast pace environment
Independent, flexible, self-motivated, and the ability to work well with others
