We are seeking a highly skilled biochemist/enzymologist to work as an integral member of our biochemistry group across multiple programs. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years’ experience in an industrial drug discovery setting characterizing enzymes and protein targets, developing and optimizing microtiter plate assays, and determining the affinity and mode of inhibition for small molecule inhibitors to guide SAR.  This candidate will be involved in establishing new projects at Tango Therapeutics.  An appreciation of kinetics and thermodynamics, and the flexibility to work on multiple targets is important for this position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Enzyme kinetic and thermodynamics
  • Microtiter plate assay development
  • Familiarity with fluorescence spectroscopy, including FRET and FP assays
  • Familiarity with radiolabeled assays, including filter binding
  • Cloning, expression, and purification experience
  • HTS experience, fragment-based screening a plus
  • Biophysical methods: Biacore, ITC, DFS
  • Data analysis, determining mode of inhibition and performing simulations to guide experiments

Required Skills & Qualifications
