The opportunity:
We are looking for a versatile Informatics Analyst to support the growth and maintenance of our cutting-edge informatics platform.  By implementing commercial systems, writing custom applications, and informatics problem solving with our scientists, you will have the opportunity to have a tremendous impact on how we conduct research.

Your role

    • You will work closely with our scientists to continuously improve our research informatics platform by identifying unmet needs and implementing solutions
    • Testing, 1,2, 3....You will be responsible for testing, deployment and documentation of new systems
    • You will administer and maintain our research informatics systems including the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), compound registration, inventory, assay data capture, and data visualization systems
    • You will work with our software vendors develop seamless integrations between our informatics systems so that our scientists have easy access to the information they need
    • The research team will rely on you for training and keeping our research applications running smoothly
    • We will depend on you to develop and promote best practices for scientific data capture and analysis 

Your background

    • You have extraordinary communication skills.  Candor and working collaboratively with others is key to success on our team.  You are empathetic and capable of talking with people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
    • Not afraid to pursue hard problems, you are ever-ready to roll up your sleeves and build solutions for the teams you support
    • You earned a Bachelors or higher in Chemistry, Biology or a related scientific discipline
    • You have at least 5 years of experience in pharma/biotech with a solid understanding of the drug discovery process
    • A highly organized thinker (and doer), you can prioritize challenges to ensure the successful execution of your goals
    • You are familiar with the scientific applications used for small molecule drug discovery
    • You have working knowledge of modern web development including relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle), Python, and JavaScript
    • Do you have experience scripting for data visualization tools including Vortex and Spotfire?  Bonus
    • You can understand and write clear expository prose about complex topics
