Job Summary

 

The Senior Research Associate/Scientist I will develop, implement and execute in vitro assays required for the advancement of high priority projects and Goldfinch Bio's Product Engine. This position is part of a close-knit team focused on developing cutting edge high-throughput assays for compound screening in mouse cells, human cells, and human derived kidney organoids.

 

Job Responsibilities
  • Development and implementation of diverse cellular assays used to support lead discovery and target validation
  • Design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret biological experiments in support of program objectives in partnership with scientific leadership
  • Interact and communicate results and conclusions to the biology team and cross-functional project teams 
  • Contribute significantly to tissue culture work required for pipeline 2D and 3D cellular models

 

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. in cell and/or molecular biology with minimum of 2-3 years of pharmaceutical/Industry experience required
  • Experience in cell and biochemical assay development and high-throughput screens
  • Experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, cell signaling and cell biology techniques
  • Extensive tissue culture experience
  • Familiarization with computational data analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Some weekend work will be required
  • Experience in iPSC preferred
  • Experience in confocal and high-content imaging preferred
