Relay Therapeutics was founded on the premise that protein motion can be leveraged to create breakthrough medicines. Our team is putting this principle into practice, with the aim of accelerating the development of medicines that will make a transformative difference in patients’ lives. We don’t just stare hard problems in the face – we go out looking for them.

Energized by the ultimate collaboration between chemistry, biology, computation, and biochemistry & biophysics, we have the resources to change the way drugs are discovered and help millions of people who were previously untreatable. No one will stop you or hold you back. Instead, we will give you the tools and colleagues to push forward relentlessly and cheer you on as you go.

Your role

    • You will lead the accounting close process and continuously improve processes to scale with the organization
    • You will own all aspects of the general ledger including accurate and timely preparation of financial documents
    • We’ll depend on you to prepare the company for external reporting in compliance with SEC regulations. You can also expect to handle Relay's SOX implementation and compliance, working to strengthen internal controls and ensure the control environment is operating effectively
    • Expect to make new friends, as you act as the liaison to external auditors

    • You’ll play a key role as we continue to evolve and develop an accounting department and team that is a partner to the business with an infrastructure that will support significant growth
    • Form relationships cross-functionally to cultivate collaboration both inside and outside of the Finance & Accounting teams
    • And of course, you may drive ad hoc analysis and other special projects as assigned.  You have the ability to go deep and generate business insight and action recommendations
